Healthcomm UK

Healthcomm UK is a company which provides affordable education and events to nurses and healthcare professionals.

We believe in publishing and communications along therapy based lines, allowing us to really understand the issues involved. This allows us to provide journals, publications, events and education that is of real value to the practitioner and is tailored to specific needs. In each of the areas we operate, we have built a large advisory board across the breadth of the profession who ensure that we remain focussed on the issues and requirements of individuals in that therapy area.

Key divisions of Healthcomm are:

Continence UK

Officially launched in March, the division produced information for continence advisors, urology nurses, district nurses, Urogynaecology nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nursing home staff, gerontology nurses and all members of the team involved in the provision of continence and urology service provision. Continence UK will be the largest circulating journal in this therapy area.

Dermatology UK

Dermatology UK launched in March through an association with the British Dermatological Nursing Group (the nursing arm of the British Association of Dermatology). We are collaborating with the BDNG to produce on their behalf, their established Dermatological Nursing Journal and other educational items. Dermatology UK will run as conference and exhibition alongside Continence UK and Wounds UK at Harrogate in November.

Lymphoedema UK

The journal and website was launched in October 2006. The journal is published twice a year and the division is busy disseminating education and best practice in an area of healthcare that is often overlooked and misunderstood.

Wounds UK

Wounds UK was our start point. It began as a medium sized event that has quickly grown to be the largest and most visited conference in the UK wound care market. From the event grew the journal, website, awards and all the other activities that we now provide nurses and other professionals in this exciting therapy area. Wounds UK has provided the template for our other businesses and has proved to us that by getting to know the market inside out, we can provide coherent, relevant and affordable education that makes a real difference to the working lives of nurses in the field. Wounds UK also has a thriving books division and regularly produces free educational material in a huge variety of formats.
